Vision Statement

The vision of LASKA is to provide a safe, accessible environment to explore art, creativity and education, based on interests of people with disabilities.

LASKA’s aim is to create these opportunities in Sydney, Australia and the Globe with the long term vision to have 111 Centres Worldwide by 10/10/17.

LASKA’s purpose:

To provide an opportunity of self expression, verbally and physically
To improve self esteem
To develop friendship networks. Improve social skills and interaction through group participation.
To give participants an opportunity to have their skills and achievements acknowledged.
To learn new and / or develop / improve current skills
To improve focus, memory and concentration skills
To empower individuals towards even more independence
To provide and continuously create new fun & exciting ‘out of the box’ opportunities.
Where social integration comes about by participating together in these fun programs.

What does LASKA stand for? LASKA means LOVE in my birth country language, (which is Slovak). Further more LASKA stands for:

L: learning,
A: accomplishment,
S: skill development
K: key to fulfilling employment (2 year vision)
A: arts
